I was always the person to stay up the latest out of all my friends. My favourite kids show ever was SpongeBob SquarePants. I would usually watch the show on the NickToons channel. I would like to share a story of what I saw on a petrifying night of 2008.

The time was around midnight, I snuck out of bed to watch television, like I would always do as a kid. I made it to the living room, and sat down on the couch, I tucked myself in with the blanket that lies on the couch. The remote is on a table on the right side of the couch. I switched the channel to NickToons, and shows the SpongeBob credits, a SpongeBob episode had ended. Another episode seemed to be on, The intro played. After the intro shown the title card appeared, the text said "The Purpose". I didn't care about the title card, I was certain it was just a regular average episode of SpongeBob.

The episode started off with SpongeBob in the kitchen, Squidward yelled "One krabby patty!" as he usually does. SpongeBob reappeared behind Squidward and scared him, Squidward said "I thought I told you to give me a krabby patty!". SpongeBob was in the kitchen again. This part of the episode was like most that involve The Krusty Krab. The camera shot to The Chum Bucket. Plankton had an evil plan to steal the formula as usually, The scheme was to destroy The Krusty Krab, and snatch the formula. I was absolutely certain that he would fail because how predictable the show was.

Plankton had a demolition crane and was about to wreck The Krusty Krab. Everyone in the building panicked and didn't do anything but run and scream, SpongeBob hid under the wood planks. Plankon destroyed the Krusty Krab, and got the formula. I was amazed that he actually won this time. The camera shot to the fish's dead bodies, and the camera slowly panned to a pile of wood planks and dust. SpongeBob scratched his head after he popped out of the pile. SpongeBob was screaming once he saw everyone had died. Everyone he knew except Sandy had died, SpongeBob gained depression, and it slowly grew. He started walking away from The Krusty Krab crying. The screen faded to black and an advertisement was seen.

I started recording the television.

Once the episode resumed the screen faded back to normal, which SpongeBob was walking looking upset. The camera shot to the street that goes down to rock bottom, SpongeBob jumped off the cliff, I could hear wind. I was petrified at this point. The episode had ended with a beep.

I still wonder to this day why this was made,

And this is still petrifying to me this day. I don't think the reason for this will ever be answered.
